Today is my 1 year Stampiversary and it has been an exciting and amazing journey for me (Stampiversary - anniversary for a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator).
I had been thinking about becoming a demonstrator since midway through 2016 because I loved the thought of the 20% discount. I was also really nervous because the thought of doing You Tube tutorials or going to someone's home to host a Stampin' Up! party scared me to bits (that's me putting it politely).
In November, 2016 my Mumsy lost her battle with Cancer and it made me realise how short life is and that I needed to bite the bullet and talk to someone to get more information on what being a demonstrator really means.
I spoke to Sam Hammond, aka Pootles, about my worries because she was the only demonstrator I knew. She told me I could become a 'Hobby Demonstrator' and I wouldn't need to do tutorials or parties unless I wanted to. Demonstrators always have an Upline to go to if they have any questions/worries. That was all I needed to hear, I signed up immediately.
I signed up during Sale-A-Bration 2016. For my Stampin' Up! Starter Kit I got to choose £160 of products for £99. I could choose any products from the Occasions catalogue, the Spring/Summer catalogue or the Clearance Rack.
If you are thinking about becoming a demonstrator, whether it be as a Hobby Demonstrator or to build your own business, there is no better time to join than during Sale-A-Bration 2017 because you get to:-
- Choose £130/175 Euros worth of Stampin' Up! products for £99/129 Euros.
- Choose 2 FREE stamp sets up to the value of £93/126 Euros.
I would love to have you join my team.
I started as a hobby demonstrator to get the 20% discount on products but after a few months I got my 1st customer and it was so exciting.
I have an amazing support system around me. My hubby and children support and help me so much with my new (ish) venture, my Upline Sam and the Pootler's are fantastic. Whether you need advice, constructive criticism or just someone to talk to they are always there for you.
During my year as a Demonstrator I have been to 2 Stampin' Up! OnStage Live events in Telford where I got to meet 400 fellow demonstrators and swap projects with them.
At the event Demonstrators receive a copy of the upcoming catalogue and we get to see some of the demonstrators using some of the new products. The last event was in November and when I came home I had a copy of the Spring/Summer 2017 catalogue, a copy of the Sale-A-Bration catalogue, 5 stamp sets, ink pads, blender pens, a goodie bag and lots more.
One of the other benefits of going to the OnStage Live event is we also get to pre-order a selection of products about a month before other demonstrators can.
Last night I sat thinking about how Stampin' Up! make stamps for people with so many different tastes. I also started thinking about some of the stamp sets I have that were designed by 'Million Dollar Seller' Demonstrators. I love the 'Bella and Friends' stamp set (Angie Kennedy Juda) and the 'One Wild Ride stamp set (Dawn Griffith). This got me thinking. What would I like if I got the chance to design my own stamp set? To be honest all I know is it must have large images for colouring in and it would be Christmas themed because Christmas was my Mumsy's favourite time of the year and it is mine to.
The question for my giveaway is - If you could design your own stamp set:-
- What image/s or theme would you choose?
- Why did you chose these image/s or theme?
Please leave your answer in a comment below and 1 person will be chosen on 20th January, 2017 and will receive a surprise Stampin' Up! product.
I can only send Stampin' Up! products to
the UK, France, Germany, The Netherlands and Austria.
I hope you find some time to have some crafting fun today, I will definitely be crafting because it would be rude not to on my 1 Year Stampiversary.
