Enjoy the Ride Card

In April Hubby and I went to Telford for the Stampin' Up! OnStage Live event.  Demonstrators who attended were given a copy of the new Stampin' Up! 2016/17 Annual Catalogue, they got to try the new products and were able to pre-order some of the products too.

As soon as I saw the One Wild Ride Stamp Set it went at the top of my 'Wish List'.

Dawn Griffith (owner of Dawn's Stamping Thoughts) designed this stamp set when she became a Million Dollar seller for Stampin' Up! The bike image in the stamp set is her husbands bike.

I struggle with masculine cards because most of the men I know are not into any kind of sports.  My son has a bike, hubby has a trike and many of our friends have bikes/trikes.  This stamp set is perfect for male and female bikers and I love the sentiments in it.

This is the first of many cards I will be making using this stamp set.

I made my own DSP by stamping the tyre track, Route 66 and the Gravel stamp with Basic Black Archival ink onto a piece of Basic Gray Card Stock.  I embossed 2 pieces of Silver Foil Sheet with a Checker Plate embossing folder.  For the 'enjoy the ride' I used Basic Black Card Stock to die-cut this 4 times and adhered them together.  The enjoy the ride die is by Fuzzy Lemon.

I used Basic Black Archival Ink and Clear Stampin' Emboss Powder for the " I don't feel like going for a ride today..." and the ...Said no motorcycle rider ever. I heat set this using my Heat Tool

I adhered the sentiment and the motorbike image onto Basic Black Card Stock, I used Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the motorbike panel.

I used a sheet of A4 Whisper White Thick Cardstock folded in half for the card base and adhered the panels using Liquid Multipurpose Glue.

For the inside of the card I stamped the 'badge/patch'  image onto a piece of Silver Foil Sheet  using Basic Black Archival Ink and Clear Stampin' Emboss Powder. There is a co-ordinating punch for the badge/patch image (Best Badge Punch) but I haven't bought it yet - it's on my wish list : )

I also stamped the 'badge/patch' image on the envelope in the bottom left-hand corner.

I really enjoyed making this card and maybe you will make one too.

If you have any questions please leave me a comment and I will get back to you as soon as I can.  If you have a few minutes please leave a comment letting me know what you think.

Have yourself some crafting fun.
