Sharing Sweet Thoughts - Pretty Label Punch Showcase

Next Friday I will be a VIP guest at the Stampin' Up! 'Birthday Wishes Challenge' kick-off event in London where we will be making cards for the Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC).

UK demonstrators were asked to register their interest in holding their own Birthday Wishes event and everyone who put their name forward would have the chance of becoming a VIP guest.  I've been making cards for the RMHC since February 2016 and I loved the idea of cardmaking with a few friends.  Being chosen as 1 of the 6 VIP guests is amazing, I get to spend the day in the newest Ronald McDonald House making cards for a truly amazing charity.

Today's four little note cards were made with the Pretty Label punch and the new Ronald McDonald House Charities stamp set.

Have you seen the image of the Pretty Label on page 207 of the new catalogue?  Doesn't it look like a cloud?  I just had to try sponging a cloudy background.

Stampin' Up! had sent me the Sharing Sweet Thoughts stamp set last month so that I could design my card layout before I went to the event.  I wasn't keen on the stamp set at first but I've stamped so many card layouts it has really grown on me.  The jar can be die-cut with the Everyday Jars Framelits.  I grabbed one of the card layouts to try the sponged background on and it looked really good.

I had several strips of thick Whisper White card that were 8" x 3-1/4",  I took four of them to make into 4" x 3-1/4" note cards.  I stamped the lid, the jar and it's contents with Basic Black Archival Ink onto thick Whisper White card.  I used post-it notes to make the masks for the branches, butterflies, strawberries and ladybirds.

The stamp-a-ma-jig was perfect for lining up all the images especially getting the Ladybirds on the branches.   I added all the masks before sponging the grass with Pear Pizzazz ink and the sky with Soft Sky ink.  I used the Watercolor Pencils and a blender pen to colour everything in the jars.

The sentiment is from the Thoughtful Banners stamp set.  I stamped 2 sentiments on to scraps of Whisper White card and 2 onto scraps of Old Olive card and punched these with the Classic Label Punch.  The matt is also Old Olive card.

I am really chuffed with the way my cards came out, they all look so cute.  I won't be making these cards next Friday because they did take quite a while to make.

Tomorrow I'm taking part in the Pootler's Blog Hop, these are always fun to take part in and my fellow Pootler's always create amazing projects.  All the projects you will see tomorrow have been made using products in the new 2017/2018 Annual catalogue.  My project for tomorrows blog hop is also made with the Pretty Label Punch.

*When designing a project or when I CASE a project I always use my cheap cardstock to make a prototype before making it with my Stampin' Up! cardstock.   I do check the measurements I add to my blog posts but when typing lots of measurements mistakes can be made.  When making any project I recommend making it first with cheap cardstock before using your best cardstock.*
