Beautiful Bookmarks - Pretty Label Punch Showcase

Thank you for joining me today for the final instalment of my Pretty Label Punch Showcase.  If you would like to see the other projects I have made using the Pretty Label punch click on the photos at the bottom of this post and you will be taken to the blog post.

When I was using the Pretty Label punch for the bottom of my screen card I came up with another use for the punch, it could be used for bookmarks.  I measured one of the punched labels and cut a piece of Whisper White Thick cardstock to 1-7/8" x 6-1/4".   At the top of the cardstock I measured 1/2" from the top on both sides and added a small pencil mark.  When I fed the cardstock through the punch I lined the pencil lines up on each side to make sure the top was straight before punching.

I didn't have a clue what I wanted to stamp on it so I had a look through my stamps and as soon as I saw the Wild About Flowers stamp set I knew that would be perfect.  When we have a new Annual catalogue I order the new Whisper White ribbons that are in it and colour them myself, but when I saw the new Daffodil Delight 1/4" Double Stitched ribbon I was really drawn to it.  I made the bookmark to coordinate with the ribbon using Daffodil delight and Pear Pizzazz ink.

As today is Father's Day I also made a bookmark for my Dad.  I used the Large Letters Framelits Dies to die-cut DAD in Marina Mist cardstock and stamped the Hardwood Background stamp on the letters with Marina Mist Ink.  I used Very Vanilla Thick cardstock cut to 1-7/8" x 8-1/4" for the bookmark and stamped the Hardwood Background with stamped off Sahara Sand ink.

I knew my Dad wouldn't like a tassel on the bookmark so I thought about wrapping some Linen Thread around the top and bottom but that's not he's taste either so I've left it quite plain because I know he'll love it and use it.

I hope you have enjoyed my Pretty Label Punch Showcase.  My aim was to show how versatile this punch really is, it's definitely worth having in your stash.  Please leave a comment to let me know if you have enjoyed this showcase.

I would love to see any projects you make with the punch, you can add your photo's to my Facebook Page Lady Dee's Craft Forum.

Have yourself some crafting fun.

*When designing a project or when I CASE a project I always use my cheap cardstock to make a prototype before making it with my Stampin' Up! cardstock.   I do check the measurements I add to my blog posts but when typing lots of measurements mistakes can be made.  When making any project I recommend making it first with cheap cardstock before using your best cardstock.*
