I always use Thick Whisper White cardstock for my cardbases but Stampin' Up! have listened to their demonstrators and we now have Very Vanilla Thick cardstock and 12"x12" Very Vanilla cardstock in the 2017/2018 Annual catalogue.
The Tranquil Tulips stamp set is 2 step stamping. When stamping the Tulips I found it easier to stamp the detailed image with 'first generation' ink and then stamp the 2nd part of the image with 2nd generation/stamped off ink.
I have DSP and Baker's Twine but I always forget to use them so I'm trying to incorporate them in my projects. I coloured a piece of Whisper White Bakers Twine with a Dapper Denim marker and I added a strip of DSP from the Color Theory DSP stack. If you don't have the Stampin' Write markers you can colour bakers twine/ribbon by putting a couple of drops of ink refill and some rubbing alcohol into a plastic container. When colouring ribbon/bakers twine I advise wearing gloves as I always end up with inky fingers.
I wasn't sure about using Dapper Denim ink for the Tulips, I thought it would be too dark, but I really like them. What do you think?

* When designing a project or when I CASE a project I always use my cheap cardstock to make a prototype before making it with my Stampin' Up! cardstock. I do check the measurements I add to my blog posts but when typing lots of measurements mistakes can be made. When making any project I recommend making it first with cheap cardstock before using your best cardstock. *
