SSSC - Memory Box Frame

Thank you for joining us today for another Simply Sketched Saturday Challenge Blog Hop.  This month instead of having a sketch challenge the lovely Hannah of Stampin' By Hannah has given us a colour challenge and these are the colours she chose:

Please continue the hop by clicking on the 'Next' or 'Previous' buttons at the bottom of this post.

I absolutely adore the new 2017/19 In Colors and Fresh Fig happens to be one of my favourites, it is so luxurious.  I had a look through my stamps for images I could use with these colours and decided to use the new Crafting Forever stamp set.

As this stamp set is craft related my idea was to have the scissors and the pot of paintbrushes on a worktop in a craft room.  For the 'wallpaper' I used a piece of Fresh Fig DSP from the new Fresh Florals DSP stack, there are 40 sheets of 12"x12" in this stack.

I have really enjoyed taking part in the colour challenge and I managed to use all 4 of Hannah's colours:-

Fresh Fig - The paintbrush pot and the 'wallpaper'.  The dolly pegs were stamped with 2nd generation Fresh Fig ink.
Blushing Bride - The dolly pegs were stamped with 2nd generation Blushing Bride ink.
Calypso Coral - I used Calypso Coral ink for the handles of the scissors and the Calypso Coral watercolor pencil for the handles of the paint brushes.
Smoky Slate - The worktop, the paintbrushes, the scalpel, the little sign and the scissor blades.

The idea for the little sign came from a piece of wall art my husband recently bought for me.  For the background of the sign I used the Hardwood background stamp with 2nd generation Smoky Slate.  The sentiment 'Do Something Creative Every Day' was stamped with 'full strength' Smoky Slate ink.

The frame is a 6"x6" (15 x 15cms) Memory Box Frame that I bought in Hobbycraft.

I am really pleased with the way this came out, so pleased with it that I am going to hang in my craft room

Todays blog hop is full of inspiriting projects so please continue hopping by clicking on the 'Next' or 'Previous' buttons below.

I'm off to see what everyone else has made.

Have yourself some crafting fun.

*Dimensions:

Watercolour paper - 4" x 5" but after I'd finished colouring all the images I decided to fussy cut around the stamped images and add dimensionals to the back of it so that the worktop would be in the foreground.
DSP - Fresh Florals 4" x 6"
Cardstock - 6" x 6" which was cut down to fit in the 6"x6" frame.

*When designing a project or when I CASE a project I always use my cheap cardstock to make a prototype before making it with my Stampin' Up! cardstock.   I do check the measurements I add to my blog posts but when typing lots of measurements mistakes can be made.  When making any project I recommend making it first with cheap cardstock before using your best cardstock.*

The products used to make todays project are listed below.
